These pictures showcase my extremely limited photography skills. That’s why I had to make them so tiny. Hopefully, you can still see that there’s fruit on this sushi — mango and kiwi! I kind of feel like a yuppie eating specialty rolls, but I’m okay with it because they have an incredible balance of sweet, sour, and salty flavors. This sushi does everything I want it to — it lets the simple flavors of quality foods complement each other. It’s so good, in fact, that it’s the only sushi place I’ve been to in Greensboro. Maybe it’s time to branch out.
Sushi Republic is located on Tate Street near UNCG. It’s a medium fancy (modern, candlelit atmosphere), medium expensive (average $10 per roll) kind of place. Great for dates or groups, but you’ll probably need a reservation for either, since the restaraunt and bar are both very small.
